Federal Member for Gilmore Ann Sudmalis has today thanked the local Rural Fire Service (RFS) for their efforts over the past week in managing several blazes.
Mrs Sudmalis also wants to remind residents and visitors to be prepared, to keep up to date with weather and fire warnings.
“The week’s fire events are a reminder to make sure you have an emergency evacuation plan in place,” she said.
“Please listen to, and act on the advice provided by emergency services, don’t wait until it is too late.
“I would like to recognise the hard and dedicated work of our emergency services,” said Mrs Sudmalis.
